The Hague Tours, Tickets & Cruises

Museum tickets, a canal cruise, bike tours, the heritage tram and Delft — the worthwhile bookable experiences, compared and bookable in a couple of taps.

Much of The Hague can be enjoyed for free — the Hofvijver, the Binnenhof courtyard, the Peace Palace visitor centre, the beach. But its best museums sell timed tickets, and a guide or a boat shows you a side of the city you would otherwise miss.

Everything below is booked through GetYourGuide, with live availability and free cancellation on many options. We found each product as a live listing in November 2026 but could not confirm current prices, so the cards show none — open any card for the price in your currency. Before you book, check three things: the start point (some Scheveningen and Delft products start outside the centre), what exactly is included, and whether you still need to reserve a time slot with the attraction.

Coverage is honest rather than huge: GetYourGuide sells the big museums, Madurodam and a handful of tours, but not, when we checked, the Kunstmuseum or tours of the Peace Palace — for those, see our museum guide and the official sites.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book the Mauritshuis in advance?

It is wise at weekends, in school holidays and whenever a special exhibition is on: the museum is small and popular. On a weekday morning outside the holidays you can often walk in, but a pre-booked ticket saves queuing.

Is the canal cruise worth it?

Yes, if you want a relaxed overview. The Hague’s canals are quieter than Amsterdam’s and the boat passes residential districts as well as the historic centre. Guests rate it highly; check the listing for the languages of the live commentary.

Can I visit the Binnenhof or the Peace Palace on a tour?

The Binnenhof is under a long renovation and access changes; parliament visits are organised by ProDemos. The Peace Palace has a free visitor centre and only occasional guided tours. Neither was sold on GetYourGuide when we checked.

Can I cancel if it rains?

Many listings offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Museum tickets are a good rainy-day plan anyway — keep the bike tour or the beach for the dry day.

Are children free?

At several museums, yes: the Mauritshuis, for example, has been free for under-19s. Policies vary, so check each listing and the museum’s own site.
