About VisitTheHague.com

An independent guide to The Hague, its museums, palaces, beaches and surroundings, written to be genuinely useful.

We are not the tourist board. VisitTheHague.com is an independent travel website. It is not owned by, operated by or affiliated with the municipality of The Hague, its official tourist organisation, the Dutch government, any museum or any tour operator. For official information, consult the official sources directly.

VisitTheHague.com covers The Hague and the places around it — from the Binnenhof and the Mauritshuis to Scheveningen, the dunes and Delft. It is written to help you plan a day, a weekend or a longer stay, and to make good decisions once you are here.

What we cover

  • The sights, museums and neighbourhoods, each with its own page.
  • Which tickets and tours are worth booking, ranked honestly.
  • Practical matters: getting here, trams, seasons, the beach and safety.
  • Day trips to Delft, Leiden, Rotterdam and beyond.
  • Where to stay, by area and by budget.

How we research

Facts are checked against official sources, operators and booking platforms. Activity ratings come from GetYourGuide listings; places to stay are identified on Booking.com. Where something changes often — prices, opening times, the Binnenhof renovation — we tell you to check on the day rather than pretend to a precision that does not exist.

Where we express an opinion, it is an opinion. Where GetYourGuide has no suitable product — for the Kunstmuseum or the Peace Palace, for example — we say so rather than point you at something that does not fit.

How the site is funded

We are a GetYourGuide affiliate partner, and accommodation links go to Booking.com. If you book through a link on this site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. There is no advertising, no sponsored placement and no paid inclusion in any ranking. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
